A Summary Of Progress In 2012
Whilst phase 2 was to wait until 2013 to be tackled seriously there were a few aspects that needed more urgent attention. One was to clear some of the old brambles, bracken and odd elderberry bush and the dry March proved an ideal time to do this, in this picture can be seen a elder stump with a incinerator made from some old wire link fencing found on the land.
Getting up the slope needed more steps to be built

Horizontal paths were roughly formed with their routes being dictated somewhat by the existing tree planting
A small scree bed was planted just above the sun terrace
As we were due to get a bee hive in the summer it was decided that a terrace at the top of the garden should be created (The Bee Terrace)
Two beds were made, one for asparagus and one for strawberries

When you get to the top you need a sit down
Mind you, the view from the seat isn't too bad
In some parts of the garden the only way to get to it is with the aid of a rope
